Summary: The Transportation Driver transports Medicaid recipients to non-emergency medical appointments.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but shall not be limited to:
1. Drive the assigned vehicle on the assigned route
2. Inspect assigned vehicle for damage, fluid levels, and parts wear and tear daily prior to and after each assigned route
3. Make daily report of any problems with the assigned vehicle
4. Transport passengers safely and timely to and from designated locations
5. Maintain the cleanliness of vehicle (interior and exterior)
6. Fuel vehicles with the appropriate regular unleaded fuel daily
7. Record total fuel cost, gallons, vehicle number and odometer reading with each fuel fill up
8. Maintain a professional demeanor and neat appearance at all times
9. Communicate with dispatcher or other authorized personnel as directed
10. Report all accidents, which may or may not involve damage or injury to the supervisor immediately and complete an accident report
11. Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
12. Comply with all rules, regulations, and procedures regarding operations, attire, safety and other areas as instructed
13. Wear safety equipments at all times (safety belts)
14. Secure wheelchairs properly prior to transporting
15. Promptly attend staff meeting, seminars, workshops and classes; support agency activities
16. Perform other duties as assigned
